Enrollment Update

Beginning with the Basic course in September, we will be shifting the way enrollment is conducted within the courses.

Why the change?

It’s not that what’s been done in the past is wrong (as a matter of fact it worked quite effectively for quite some time) it’s that times are changing and we must change with the times. Feedback from participants and enrollment results are telling us that it’s time to try something new. Martha and I are listening and we’ll need your support to create a new way of inspiring people to experience this life changing work.

How will it be different?

As Martha is no longer running the business, she will no longer be handling enrollment. Should someone approach her with questions about the course, of course, she will share her enthusiasm about the life changing work. She will not, however, be sending emails regarding enrollment to past participants or reaching out to encourage people to participate.

Those of you have completed the course may be wondering, what specifically will be different. Below is a summary of what’s changing.

Martha will share her experience of sharing the courses with others and will encourage participants to share the work with those they care about, but it will not be shared in a way that participants might feel puts an expectation on them to enroll their friends and family into the course.

In the Basic, there will be an invitation for participants to reflect on the individual(s) who encouraged them to take the course and to imagine who they might want to give the gift to. Jana will be at the course and there to tell them about how she will support them should they be inspired to pass it on by sharing the website page and her personal information. There will be handouts should someone choose to take one, but it will not be distributed to participants.

Advanced will stay largely the same as enrollment isn’t a key theme of the experience.

Ownership will no longer have an enrollment goal as part of the course. Participants who are inspired to take on a personal enrollment goal will get support to do so, but it will not be required as a group goal or individual goal.

What’s next?

Since we’ve never conducted courses without enrollment as a key theme, we don’t know what results we will get. I hope you’ll be a part of helping us create something new.

We know that no amount of marketing to strangers will replace people sharing the course with those they care about most. It’s my hope that by removing any perceived enrollment pressure, past participants will be even more inspired to pass the gift on to others.
